We take great pride in breeding our Golden Retrievers. We go beyond most breeders and have all of our breeding stock fully certified by leading organizations to insure quality in the breed. All of our puppies are whelped raised and cared for in their very own room on the main floor of our home. I am an at home mom which allows me the time it takes to care for and train all of our dogs and puppies. We feel that it is important for the puppies’ mental health to start introducing them to new sounds and smells while they are young, to do this when it is warm enough out we start small by bringing some grass and dirt into the pen and then slowly letting them out for small play times during the day. During the winter we buy sand, dirt and gravel and will place these in a section of the room where the pups are allowed walk through and explore. If there is snow on the ground I will bring in a few buckets full and let the puppies’ sample and dig in it. We also place tubes for the pups to climb in and other items in the pen for them to play on. We feel vacuuming in the room, dropping pots and pans, or making other loud noises while the pups are playing or eating helps the pups get used to noises and teaches them not to be afraid of load noises.
We feel that nutrition is a very important part of a puppy’s health. Not only after they are born and eating on their own but also before that is why the mother has both pre-natal and postnatal care throughout the entire breeding cycle. We believe the type of foods you feed your dogs plays an important role in this and that is why we feed only the highest quality premium dog foods for both mother and puppy. We use an all natural food. It has all natural ingredients and has only naturally preservatives. This food contains 4 human grade meats, chicken, turkey, lamb and fish, along with all the extras your pup will need to live a HEALTHY, happy long life. AKC Golden Retriever The American Kennel Club of America maintains a registry of recognized breeds; adopts and enforces rules and regulations governing dog events; and fosters and encourages interest in, and the health and welfare of, purebred dogs. These events, which draw nearly two million entries annually, include dog shows, field trials, obedience trials, agility trials, earthdog tests, lure coursing, hunting tests, herding trials, tracking, and coonhound events.
